Prepping for a good hair da

#1 Showering

I know showering seems like the obvious but using the right shampoo and conditioner can make a huge impact on your hair and how it falls. Always use cool water to rinse to help tame frizz and seal in the moisture.

#2 Treat you hair

We put our hair through a lot, so make sure to use a good mask or treatment once a week. It will help avoid damage and keep your hair hydrated.

#3 Take it easy on the heat

It is Important to dry your hair but let it air dry a little first. Usually when my clients say "I hate my hair" there answer is "NO" when asked "do you blow dry your hair?" Blowing out your style with the right products and wide barreled brush will help you 100%

#4 Add some body

After a blow out, we love our dry shampoo and texture spray from Amika. It helps keep that volume in the hair. Most people think dry shampoo is only for "dirty hair" or "next day hair" but we have found that when using Amika on clean fresh hair, it holds your style much longer than waiting until its dirty to apply the dry shampoo. With the right products you should only have to wash your hair every 3 to 4 days.

#5 Invest in a pillowcase

There are many benefits to having a silk pillowcase. While you sleep, your hair will glide across the silk and not get tangled and messed up. A silk pillowcase will also stop your face from creasing on one side and it feels incredible!
