My Trip to Nashville

Back in June, I celebrated my 30th birthday. I have always dreamed of going to Nashville because I love music, but for years I have been following a few salons on social media that really inspire me.

Since this was a short weekend trip which made time short and every minute count, I wanted to do as much as possible. I booked a blowout at a salon. Not just any salon either. This was a salon that some of my idols went to. I just knew it was going to be the best experience and I could take something back to my salon, but I was about to be shocked!

As we arrived at our location there was NO parking! The parking lot was the smallest I had ever seen and it was full. We had to park and walk a mile to get there. ( I guess celebrities have a driver and they don't have to worry about parking.) LOL. After signing in we waited for a bit. This is when I tried to observe as much as I could from decorations to the dress code and the way they working and cleaned. Now it's finally my turn to be the client. This is when it became uncomfortable. The stations and chairs and sinks were all uncomfortable. However the staff was very friendly and did a great job.

As we were leaving and heading back to our car, my hubby asked what I would take from this experience to possible change in my salon for the better and you'll never guess what my answer will be. NOTHING! YES, I said nothing! This made me feel great!

Sometimes, we as people question and doubt ourselves. Are we good enough? Are we doing things right? This experience opened my eyes and helped me see what a great place I have from top to bottom. I still thank George for the experience and can't wait to do it again! ( Go back to Nashville that is.. :)
