Do You Know When Your Beauty Products Expire?
When most people hear the word “expiration date” they automatically think of food, but did you know that your beauty products can expire too? We've all been there. You can't bear to part ways with that expensive eye-shadow palette you bought, or that moisturizer you bought years ago that you hardly use that you're not ready to toss yet. The time has come to clean out your drawer.
Your makeup brushes/sponges should be cleaned at least once a month.
You may think it's harmless, but actually putting expired beauty products on your face can be harmful to your skin. Many beauty products have on the back of them a little open jar container with what they recommend. Now some expiration dates can be a difficult to find only because its on the packaging you throw away. For example, a "12M" would mean you should throw the product out 12 months after you've opened it. It is probably a good idea to follow that direction. Unfortunately, if you throw away the packaging you wont remember the expire date.
